Ai wo ai toshite airashiku

Things have been pretty topsy turvy lately. I've been so busy with my assignments and exams that when I actually do manage to find time to settle down, all I can think of is the amount of work to do the next day.

And as much as it may look good, me planning my work and all, it kinda made me realise how messed up my life really is upon entering college. I barely have time to watch any TV (and just to let you know, my cousin's acting in the latest coke commercial. And I haven't even watched it yet!), barely have time to write any of my stuff (not even my diary! Yes people, I have a diary... meh) or blog. My computer's out, so now I can't download anything without the computer jamming (besides, got too many things to do and attend) and now here I am in the College's computer lab, tired and so freaked out cause I didn't do well in my speech as part of my public speaking. (I couldn't speak for 10 minutes... spoke for about 7 minutes... what more do you want me to say????) I have two exams to look out for and I have to prepare for my second wave of assignments just after this.

Now, as part of my scholarship on my High Achievement Award, I have to work at the Marketing Department in KDU for 2 hours per week.

@.@

I guess that's life I suppose. Work your butt out, climbing those steps, reaching to the top without even caring that you're afraid of heights. It's normal... and I know that I'll be ok in the end.

A lot of people have been giving me support. Not only you guys who are reading this... but amazingly other people as well. (Never underestimate the power of message boards. It's great to hang out with crazy people like them as well ^^)

So yeah, I'll be all right. Thanks to all of you. ^^

During one lesson in Sunday school, Pauline (who teaches the class) asked the kids what would they wish for if God would grant them one wish. There's the usual peace in the world, love, no bad people (one boy genius wished for a million more wishes... :p) and suddenly Pauline points at me (I was standing at the back) and asks me, "Michelle, what would you wish for?"

"Me?" I replied, pausing to think. "To be useful to the people I love."

I got a poem from one of the boys as a gift for Teacher's Day. (Wow, I get to celebrate Teacher's Day as well. ^^) And not only did I love it because it was beautifully printed and laminated, but the poem was so beautiful, that I have to share it with you guys.

Difference

It's not how much you accomplish in life that really counts,
but how much you give to others.

It's not how high you build your dreams
but how high your faith can climb.

It's not how many goals you can reach,
but how many lives you touch.

It's not who you know that matters,
but who you are inside.

Believe in the impossible,
Hold tight to the incredible,
and live each day to its fullest potential.

You can make a difference in your world.
