She's the queen of hollywood...

Iwas walking to tuition last Friday when I passed by these two malay guys who seem to be locking their shop. One saw me and said, "Lawak awak adik, dengan baju merah sekali..."

I looked down at my Planet Hollywood Singapore red t-shirt and walked off, not before giving the guy an amused smile.

To tell you the truth, I thought that was a good way of giving a compliment. Not to say that I'm vain, he probably has said that to many other girls out there with probably bad intentions, maybe to me too. But from my experience, there was no harshness, no whistling, no catcalls and no sneers. Just a smile and a compliment.

And then I thought I've got to be joking.

As we've all learned, we can't trust anyone these days. And girls, being the dreamers who we are, can't help but wish that that was a lie, and that we wish we could give all our trust to someone... and we know if there ever was such a person our lives would be so much better and love would never hurt...

If we want to believe in that crap, go ahead. I don't blame you, I have my dreams too. How I built them with such happiness and with much care... until someone broke it into a million pieces.

Then I carried my broken dreams around, hoping that I could share it with someone, so that they'd see it and maybe rebuild that dream for me...

But they looked at me sadly and said, "We have our own broken dreams, too."

Sometimes people can be much crueller. Bring your broken dreams to them and it looks like they're helping you build another beautiful dream, only to find out that they're crushing it more...

When you realise that it's up to you to build your dreams again, you can't help but feel despair... but there is still hope, no matter how bleak it looks with the mist in your eyes...

Don't cry out loud
Just keep it inside
Remember to hide those feelings
Stand tall and proud
You don't have to fall
Remember you almost had it all...

Tomorrow... as much as I fear you... I await your beggining as today.

God bless.
